News today that “The Poisoned Dwarf” (Rupert Murdoch) wants to buy Dow Jones & Co. for $5 billion, which would add The Wall Street Journal to Murdoch's global media empire, makes me wonder what the future of that long established paper would be. It’s already the standard bearer for every right wing, neo-conservative in America. If gnarly old Rupert gets his hands on it, not only would it be to the extreme right of Genghis Khan, it would probably offer the “greederati” of Wall Street free hosting on “MySpace.” Combine that with the prospect of lots of luverrrly, bare breasted maidens on page three (which is what he introduced to “The Sun” the UK’s largest selling newspaper many years ago) and you might have what MBA wielding marketing bozos love to call “A Paradigm Shift” in newspaper publishing!
