When it comes to celebrities the media loves to swoon over, you have consider the mileage they will make out of today’s news that heiress Paris Hilton has been jailed for 45 days for violating her probation over a drink-driving charge. A Los Angeles judge ruled she must start her sentence on 5 June and she will not be allowed any work release. "I'm very sorry and from now on I'm going to pay complete attention to everything," she told the judge before sentencing. Yeah, right! Since she pleaded no contest in January to reckless driving, police have stopped her on two other occasions. She was also accused of failing to enroll in an alcohol education program by a court-ordered deadline. As the heiress to the Hilton Hotel fortune, she first gained notoriety for her constant partying as a teenager. Is this the beginning of the end for the Uber-Heiress? I doubt it.

So, can I get an orange Gucci jump suit?
I agree with the judge's decision. Paris Hilton thought she was above the law. I am just surprised that Kathy Hilton didn't get some kind of fine for her outburst. The apple doesn't fall far I suppose. Responsibility and respect for others are obviously not Hilton family traits.
