I watched the preview for Spider Man III and I must say it looks rather dramatic. Plus, after the success of the last Batman and Bond iterations, they are now bringing a “Dark Element” to it. But what really intrigues me is how actors can cope with making many of these massively expensive movies that are mostly shot “Blue Screen.” Meaning they are usually going through their thespian chores on an empty sound stage, very often, all by themselves, as all the backdrops and surroundings are put in later by CGI. Add to that the fact that most takes only last a few seconds and utilize few lines of dialogue, and you’re left with a role that an avatar could play… Which is probably going to happen anyway. So, the question is, if you don’t need real actors anymore, what happens to the multi-gazillion star worshiping industry and all the media it supports?
