Not long now before you get to stand in line with all the other "early adopters" to be the first on your block to have Apple's video iPod/pocket computer/oh-by-the-way-it's-also-a-mobile-phone. And just in case you didn't have enough reasons to want one, Apple announced today that the iPhone, like Apple TV, will stream video clips from YouTube. "Now users can enjoy YouTube wherever they are - on their iPhone, on their Mac or on a widescreen TV in their living room with Apple TV," said "His Holiness" Steve Jobs, as he came down from the mountain clutching his iCommandments. According to the announcement, Google-owned YouTube has begun encoding videos in a higher-quality format. About 10,000 videos will be available in this for the iPhone, and YouTube is expected to have all its videos available for the iPhone and Apple TV by fall. As for the iPhone, it will be available June 29 at Apple and company-owned AT&T stores. It will cost $499 for a four-gigabyte version, or $599 for eight gigs - plus an undetermined amount for your monthly AT&T service plan. And why do I have a feeling that is going to cost all you Apple freaks an arm and a leg?
