After my post of July 25th expressing my opinion (backed up by many reports in the press) that many of the companies and corporations who had opened up "virtual" offices on Second Life, where now seemingly abandoning them... Boy, did I get well and truly spammed by Second Life freaks. As the one supportive comment from "FlipperPA" puts it so well... "Nearly all of the people who've responded to this commentary are "Second Life illiterati" who are hanging on to the dream for dear (second) life. They're Rosedale's longtime dupes, and they can't quite believe that the world has heard, come to see, judged for themselves, and moved on to things that work better." And that's the point, there's always something that works better. People who want to live in fantasy worlds via their avatar surrogates will continue to do so... When hard headed Corporate America realizes there is virtually no significant return for all their efforts, they pull the plug. It's the difference between a First Life, and a Second one.
.
Wonder what's happening in the real world?
