Rupert Murdoch + The Wall Street Journal = Bare breasts on page three!

Why am I not surprised that the "Wizened of Oz" finally got his scrawny old paws on the Wall Street Journal? Well for a start, he's richer than Croesus. Secondly, he always gets what he wants, irrespective of who or what might be in his way. And thirdly, it's merely another illustration of the rightward drift of US media. All the continuing talk about the "Liberal Media" is a smokescreen put out by the corporate interests (such as GE) who control most of the print and broadcast media in this country. Even the New York Times would be considered right of center in Europe. As for Murdoch's pledge that he would not get involved in the editorial content of the paper, that's sheers bullshit. He's made the same pledge with every other paper he's taken over and within weeks broken it. And what will the sellers do? Give him his money back? Forget that he's turned the NY News into a gossip filled daily National Enquirer, that he put nudes on page three of London's Sun... Just take a look at how he has trivialized the Times of London. What was once one of the world's great newspapers now features color photographs of pop stars and TV personalities on its front page. We can look forward to that in the future with the Wall Street Journal. Not to mention a "Fair and Balanced" Wall Street Journal TV Financial News network touting the investment opportunities that will benefit punters ready to invest in News Corp. Still, a final word to "The Wizened." You can't take it with you Cobber. Why not get round the old "Barbie" and open a few "Tinnies." Relax, there's nothing left for you to buy!

Hi. It's the new "Serious" Paris Hilton. You'll find me naked on page three of the Wall Street Journal, every day!
