Boy, what with all the hoopla about the launch of "Halo 3," it would seem that the joys of opening the long-awaited product are turning sour quickly for some buyers of the $75 limited-edition version, who are finding that the discs have come loose within the collector's tin and been damaged. For a change, Microsoft has reacted quickly, providing a disc replacement program that covers both discs included in the limited-edition version at no charge through the end of the year. No one knows how many bad copies are out there. Reports show many of the scratched game discs are still playable, but some in the field are finding it challenging to track down an unscratched copy. Maybe Bill could donate one trillionth of his mega fortune to correcting this embarrassing situation.
.
And do it without a scratch!
