Well, I certainly seem to have opened a can of worms with my last post concerning missing Madeleine McCann and the behavior of her parents since that tragic event. My concern was whether or not the world wide publicity the parents were encouraging was perhaps counter productive. Today's news that the brand name “Madeleine’s Fund: Leaving No Stone Unturned” will be a commercial brand, protected by law, soon. Apparently, the managers of the campaign to find Madeleine have applied with the European Community Trademark Registration to protect the name “Madeleine’s Fund: Leaving No Stone Unturned”. The request filled also asks for that trademark to be registered for social services providers and advisers in cases of missing children. The fact that they already have a "Madeleine online Store" and have opened a charity for financial assistance, seems a little odd to me. As someone posted on a UK blog... If this had happened in Britain, leaving three kids under the age of 3 alone while you went out and had numerous bottles of wine with your pals would have got you in serious trouble and your kids would have been taken away under the Child Protection Registry - Category NEGLECT! There is something very strange about this whole situation. And, I am only talking here about what has happened since Madeleine has disappeared.
There is not one single visual I can put with this sad, sad story!
