You must be the only person on earth who doean't know that not only did the McCann's deliberately and publicly set out to get as much publicity as they possibly could, but they even made a public point of stating that this was their deliberate intention.

They wanted publicity from anywhere and everywhere, whether or not the source of publicity bore any relation to the dissappearance of their daughter. They wanted their daughter's face to be recognised the world over, in the hope that someone would spot her.

The meeting with the pope was not only a publicity stunt, but was a stunningly successful publicity stunt in the battle to make Madeleine's face ubiquitous.

If dancing naked on worldwide TV would bring back their daughter, then I don't doubt that they would do that too.

It just that this is very late in the game and here you are, surprised that openly declared PR stunts are actually... PR stunts!

But then again, you are pig ignorant and too stupid to realise that regardless of the parent's innocence or guilt, Philomena has also lost a little niece and Philomena was loved by Madeleine.

But then again, it's all a soap opera that exists simply to entertain your fragile ego.

I am being very sincere in this question, because I don't understand it all. Why does anyone condemn the parents for seeking as much publicity as they could to make the world aware of their daughter's disappearance, in the hopes that someone would spot her? I would think that any parents would do the same and more, if they had the means, to try to find their missing child. There could be no worse torture on parents than their child to be missing. Worse than death. Please help me to understand why they are being criticized for this. Thank you.

I think that the news media now is being evil to the McCann family. I have been reading all the articles and have come to the conclusion that the McCanns are innocent of any wrongdoing. I also believe that the Portuguese Police force is grabbing at straws. Who knows whh drove the McCann rented vehicle. Even that British Guy (neighbout) could have driven it while the McCanns were at the beach or whatever.
There was another case within the same area in Portugal of a little girl that was kidnapped about 4 years ago. Her mother is in jail. She claims she is innocent.
It could be a worker at the hotel, a serial kidnapper.
A handyman.
That is all I have to say.

I'm so glad you feel that way. So let me understand this? It's not ok for me to be rude to you, because we are real people with feelings.

..but it is ok for you to be rude to Madeleine McCann's auntie, Philomena, who we all know doesn't have feelings and exists as a character in your soap opera, for the sole purpose of entertaining you?
