You have to feel sorry for multi-millionaire Microsoft CEO Steve Balmer when he told an audience at the Web 2.0 summit today that it would eventually compete head-on with Google in Web search. But for now, Ballmer said, the software giant's search team could best be compared to a young basketball player facing off against a more experienced, taller rival in Google. "You're growing up quickly," Ballmer said. "You're getting better every day." In the era of Internet companies running social networks and lucrative search advertising businesses, Microsoft has struggled to keep pace. With search, "we've got our work cut out for us, (but) we're in the game," Ballmer said. Wow, it almost brings tears to your eyes.
That's not sweat... It's liquid platinum!
