If like me, you've seen every James Bond movie ever made, you'll be saddened by yesterday's news that Lois Maxwell, the Canadian born actress who was to many fans the definitive Miss Moneypenny in James Bond films, has died in Western Australia aged 80. Maxwell starred alongside Sir Sean Connery in Bond’s first movie Dr. No in 1962. Maxwell starred in 14 Bond films as the secretary to M, the secret agent’s boss and head of the secret service. She played the role until 1985’s A View To A Kill with Sir Roger Moore. Maybe now, she can help Q out with his latest gadgets.
Go right in James... M is waiting for you.
