With oil futures closing at a few cents below $90 a barrel today, there's no question we'll hit $100 a barrel before the year is out. Factor in a lunatic strike at Iran, more than possible if the "chickenhawks" get their way, then we're looking at $4.00 to $5.00 a gallon gas. Which means the end of the gas guzzlers, which means a whole new tack on auto advertising. The days of those honking great trucks racing across the Baja desert into the sunset will be over. The money will be going behind smaller, more gas efficient cars in less exotic situations. That's if anyone has enough money to buy a small, gas efficient mode of transport. Of course, if oil continues going up after it's broken the $100 barrier, you might want to consider a horse.
You might need a bigger garage!
