I'm not surprised by the announcement that Maria Shriver will not resume her TV news career after her stint as California's First Lady. The reason: the media carnival that kicked off following the death of Anna Nicole Smith. Shriver told a conference on women that media circus led directly to her decision. "It was then that I knew that the TV news business had changed and so had I," Shriver says. "I called NBC News, and told them I'm not coming back." She went on extended leave from the network when her husband, Arnold Schwarzenegger, became "The Gubernator" of California. She made two appearances anchoring "Dateline NBC" after his victory but announced the following year she would leave NBC News because she was unable to juggle her various duties. Her remarks came this week during the annual California Governor and First Lady's Conference on Women. The governor, preoccupied by the wildfires burning up the southern part of the state, made only a brief appearance via satellite. Good for her... With the way the Fox network is going, bimbo is winning out over brains.
My wife will not be back!
