
McCann is certainly in major pain today. First the news that Sepracor is putting their $330 million Lunesta sleep drug up for grabs, then the news that Intel has finally had enough of the lousy work McCann has been calling advertising for the past few years. Remember the truly awful "laptop" campaign, where they had celebs sitting on people's laps? There's also news today in AdAge that the media part of the account is now up for grabs and is followed by this... "According to executives familiar with the matter, Intel has been unhappy with Interpublic's team and a review of the creative account, currently handed by McCann Erickson, is likely to follow the media review." I'll lay odds that Microsoft won't be far behind Intel in dumping McCann... Serves them right for doing such lousy work.
