Pretty funny to read that Qwest has been appointed to be the official telecommunications provider for the upcoming August Democratic National Convention in Denver. Qwest will provide $6 million in services for the convention, and receive a sponsorship designation in return for the services. I wonder If Joe Nacchio, Qwest's ex-CEO will have won his appeal by then. After all, he's claiming, and rightly so in my opinion, that because he was the only Telecom CEO not to buckle under to the Bush government's demand that they should help spy on US citizens, Qwest was denied government contracts it had previously been promised. And yeah, I know that at the time it was a GOP controlled congress... But way too many Democrats have since voted to give amnesty to the telecom's that went along with this flagrant violation of civil liberties. Shame on them... And good for Joe Nacchio!
On the other hand... They could have been asked to do the "National Nosferatu Look-Alike" Conference!
