
Loyal readers will remember my post on Wednesday talking about Yahoo's current problems with layoffs and grim quarterly results. As a result of all this, I prophesied they are a prime take over target and the deal would be done before the 4th of July. With today's news that Microsoft has made a $44.6 billion offer for the company, perhaps I should have said they'd be gone before Easter. Obviously, Microsoft sees this as their golden opportunity to get into the same search ballpark as Google, news reports indicate that Microsoft offered to by Yahoo last year, but was rebuffed and was told Yahoo had a turn around plan in the works... Hmm... Some plan... Some turnaround!
