I posted a while ago about the debacle that Katie Couric's news anchor career was turning into and that she was in negotiations with CBC to leave her $15 million Evening news spot in the near future. At the time it was being suggested that she might take over from Larry King on CNN when his contract expired. Sorry Katie, it ain't going to happen. News today that Larry King has agreed to a contract extension that will keep him at CNN through 2010, well beyond the old geysers 77th birthday, means that Katie will have to hit the street if she's going to find another $15 million gig. She could always do "talk radio" but it would be a shame about the legs!
