NOTE... This was a post I had scheduled for a couple of days ago... Because of network problems, I couldn't post it... But I still think it's relevant. I'll do a follow up, after-launch post later.
As I said in my last post, the speculation surrounding Steve Jobs’ announcement at the Apple World Developers Conference today (Monday, June 9th) is reaching fever pitch. Mac Freaks are sniffing out any kind of information they can get their hands on to determine what new product will be revealed. Even though most people expect a 3g iPhone, there could very well be a Tablet computer. But as usual, Apple’s wall of secrecy is impenetrable. People are responding by digging up far fetched clues wherever they can find them. One of the more unusual sources of information is Import Genius, a website that collects, analyzes and sells data on every shipping container entering the US. Here's a taster... "Since mid-March, Apple Inc. and its logistics partners have imported 188 ocean containers of a product type never before declared on its shipping manifests. With iPhone's currently out of stock at many Apple stores, including its flagship outlets in New York City, rumors abound that the company is winnowing stocks in preparation for a new 3G version of the phone." Read the rest at the site... Very interesting!
What do you mean, I should have been there yesterday?
