
I keep getting bombarded with invitations from AdAge to subscribe to their Madison & Vine Web site. For a mere $299 a year, I can get all the outdated news I’ve already read on numerous other Web sites and blogs about rappers, bling, who shot who, who’s driving the latest X5 Hummer… Not to mention what kind of deals they’re doing with Nike or Hennessey… Anyway, the point of this particular rant is… What the heck does this have to do with advertising? I’ve always thought AdWeek was a bit of a joke, even though I wrote a column for them for nearly ten years. But, AdAge is turning into a parody of itself. C’mon guys, get rid of Madison & Vine, Get yourself an AdHurl or an AdScam… Ooops, no, the latter would be unprintable. Whatever… Dump Madison & Vine, ‘cos I’m willing to take bets that you don’t have many idiots who’ve ponied up $300 a year for that piece of crap!![]()
Is your bank on Madison, or Vine. Oh, and can you include your Social Security number and blood type?
