When it comes to beer advertising, why do I always get that Yogi Berra feeling? You know… “It feels like déjà vu all over again.” With the news that the New York office of Mother, a London-based agency for Milwaukee's Best Light, has just broken a “comedic” series of spots using a tag line that goes… "Men should act like men and light beer should taste like beer." Is it just me or doesn’t the first part of that sound kinda like the Miller “Manlaws” rubbish that just hit the ether this month? Doncha think all this “Manly Man” stuff when talking about “Light Beer” is a bit of an oxymoron. I mean, as I just mentioned in a post on AdScam in reference to the Germans opinion of Budweiser… It’s only fit for washing your car… And that’s not the watered down version.![]()
I'm Mach Park and I wouldn't be caught dead drinking that light beer stuff!
