If you were ever looking for conclusive proof that the world is going to hell in a handbasket... How about this... Apparently it is now the Africans’ turn to head the UN Commission on Sustainable Development. Naturally, they turn to a country that has found a way to sustain un-development – Zimbabwe. Never forget, this is the country currently looking at an inflation rate pushing 100,000%, and which has been going downhill ever since Robert Mugabe kicked Ian Smith out of office in 1979. So, the man given the post of heading up the commission on sustainable development is named Francis Nhema, a crony of President for the rest of Eternity, Robert Mugabe. Apparently, Mr. Nhema's major contribution to sustainable development is that when he was given one of the farms stolen from white farmers, he let it go to rack and ruin. But, I guess, as long as he's an ally in the "War on Terror," that's OK!
